You don’t need a lot of different things to be a sightseer. You don’t really need fancy equipment or state of the art anything. All it takes is time to go exploring and an interest in finding out new things.
This page includes some brief information about companies, resources or products that I have used in my sightseeing and that I enjoy and recommend. You may find that they will help you in your sightseeing or other endeavors. I encourage you to check them out.
Gear
I’m not big into gadgets and other gear and supplies. But sometimes there are things that can make sightseeing or your trip in general easier or more pleasant. Here are some of my favorites.

When I was growing up we all just stayed in the sun for as long as we could. These days a good hat can make the difference between having an enjoyable day or getting hot and sunburned. While you can always wear a baseball cap, a few years ago I tried a Tilley Hat. After that, there is no going back. The wide brim protects me from the sun and the mesh helps with airflow. They are guaranteed for life and if it gets wet, just wring it out.

We all can use a little help when we are walking or hiking. Trekking poles might be just the thing to help you walk over rough terrain or even smooth walkways or sidewalks. They also help with balance and give your arms a bit of a workout. I recently got this inexpensive set for Nancy and she loves them. Give them a look!

Sightseeing involves walking. I usually like to wear socks with my shoes. But, if you like something a little more rugged give Keen’s a try. I have an earlier version of this style and it allows me to walk securely on any surface. They are more secure than sandals or flip flops. My feet don’t get as sweaty as when I have on shoes with socks.
Transportation

Many of the places that I visit and blog about are within the Mid-Atlantic, South Atlantic and Northeast portions of the United States. We often drive to them and you probably can too! A few years ago I was very fortunate. We were able to manage the purchase of a Tesla Model 3. Driving it takes a little getting used to but in my opinion driving a Tesla is an amazing experience. They are fast, stylish, high tech and can drive themselves. If a Tesla might be for you click or touch the links.
